I got mine on 12-2-20.Not mentioned in the product description is that the zipper has double sliders. One for closing from bottom-to-top, and one for opening from bottom-to-top.This is a little weird, and takes some getting used to, but it works. You have to have both all the down to initially close the zipper, and it takes practice inserting the left side into the right side. You're inserting it into 2 sliders, not one, and you can't zip-up if you don't have both aligned. You have to have both all the down to get the left-side inserted through the top slider & into the bottom slider. Then you pull the top slider up to close. This feature helps you to partially open to reach into you shirt pockets easier, or partially open reach into your pants pockets easier, while not having to completely open the coat to do either. It also allows the performing of certain necessary body functions while staying warm and not having to open the coat completely.Fully closed, now you can un-zip it from the top, or un-zip it from the bottom.Like I said, it's a bit weird, but it works.I like the fit, quality and features. But for my use, essentially long walks in sub-freezing cold with my dog, more insulating fill would be nice. The cold soaks in; especially the sleeves.Fantastic coat, extremely well made. Runs a bit large. You may need to go with a size down.skingPoor fit, zipper no goodThis is probably the best coat I've owned. It's very warm, keeps the wind and water out completely. Hood is nice and deep. I got the green and have gotten several compliments on it. I live in the northeast and needed to get an upgrade with the winter we're having. Have only had for 2 weeks as of 2/18 and already put it through 2 storms. I've hung it up dripping wet to dry and I'm completely dry and warm.As to some of the gripes mentioned in other reviews. The zipper, yes the zipper is a little tricky at first and does take some getting use to. However it is completely worth the learning curve. I love the ability to zip up from the bottom to give my legs room for driving without having to completely unzip the coat and losing the heat from your core. Very nice when first getting in a cold car. The next big item seems to be the velcro over snaps. Yes snaps would last longer agreed but I really don't have an issue with the velcro. Seems to stay put, I've had no issues with it coming undone while shoveling snow several times. As for the velcro deteriorating, in my experience anything I've had long enough to where the velcro wasn't holding right was 10 years or more. If that's the case I'll be happy with it and probably get another one. Sizing, it does run a bit large. I usually wear a large a took a medium in this coat but it does fit me well. The one thing I would like different is velcro on the bottom flap pockets instead of the buttons and the side pockets there should sit higher. I do love the chest pockets and keep my cell phone there. Protected from the elements and definitely won't fall out and I can access it without unzipping the coat.Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and expect it to hold up for many years.
