Anyone who's changed oil on an F150 knows getting to the filter can be a bear. My last oil change was a nightmare and I vowed to buy the wrench I wanted regardless of the cost. I was done playing around with metal straps when there is barely enough room to tighten the wrench. I was done playing around with a 74/76mm 14/30 flute cap wrench and I was done playing with shallow wrenches and flimsy ones. I was DONE! I almost bought a Harley Davidson wrench and was prepared to buy Snap On if it meant I got what I wanted. This fits a 76mm 14 flute filter like a glove, it's deep enough to actually grab the filter and it's not paper thin. For the interest of those searching...I sadly know that this also fits FL400S as after the oil change from hell the auto parts store sold me the wrong filter. It's welded with two beads on top (in addition to the spot welds shown on the inside). The 76mm portion fits like a glove on the Fram's rubbery grip. Made in Taiwan, not China.Fits great. I hate even using a filter wrench but this is nice to have to snug it on and get it off after 6k+ miles. Fits Motorcraft FL2051S filter.Perfet fit for my 2017 Sprinter dieselAt work like it’s supposed to do I remove the filterIt does what it's supposed to do without any problem'sI wanted to change my own oil on my, new to me, 20 year old BMW, and as I would likely use it maybe twice a year I went for the least expensive tool offered. Not having a stand to put my bike up on I was lying on the ground to fit the tool to the filter, and eventually use it. Fortunately it fit perfectly not only to the filter but also to my 3/8” ratchet and torque wrench. It if simply stamped steel versus what look to be cast/forged models which are much more expensive.Hoping to avoid the old joke about spending more on tool than it would take to have a shop do it, I believe I accomplished my objective.I got this for my first oil change on a Bronco Sport. I figured I'd need it to remove the factory installed filter and I was right. It was on there very tight. As long as I do my own oil changes I shouldn't need it again but it worked well enough for what I needed it for.Bought this thing for helping to remove an oil filter on a vehicle where I didn’t have enough space to wrap my hands around the filter. The dual size and sheer thinness of the tool makes it absolutely useless! All it does is slip! Not to mention that the end that accepts your socket drive is so thin, the length of the drive helps to push it off the end of the filter. If you leave the drive back enough to not push it off the filter, the drive is not engaged enough not to slip itself! Just a really poor design. I threw it in the garbage where it belonged. I don’t recommend it. Go find a better tool.I do a lot of Servicing of all sorts of vehicles. Sometimes people or other Techs put filters on too tight and they are a real challenge to get them off.I’ve had crushed filters using other styles of filter wrenches and ended up having to hammer and chisel them off. NOT Fun.With these wrenches I have had zero problems getting any filter off. Trust me, I have come across some the I swear were welded on, but I got it off.Bought this for dealing with removal of oil filters on a 2018 Kia Sportage EX that noted the size as 80 mm - 15 flute. This arrived and was very loose and was not able to grip. I would be better using my hands but challenging as it’s hard to reach through the undercharge cover that has a small circular opening to get at it. Was thin metal but sturdy and think it would have been perfect had it fit correctly for my needs. This oil filter wrench cap makes filter changes a breeze. No more struggling with bands or straps that slip. This gripped tightly, held the filter upright without spilling any oil which can be a challenge for longer reaches, and it came off easily. A great product which I should have bought years ago!Ive only used this on my subaru filter. Works well for tightening a bit more than hand tight for hard to reach filters. I still use channel locks to remove the filter though, as thi tends to slip on the flutes.
