The Browning's fourth full-length offering, End of Existence [Spinefarm Records] was not only written and performed, but also recorded, engineered, and mixed by mastermind Jonny McBee. This 12-track opus tells a fascinating and fiery cataclysmic tale over a backdrop of chugging detuned guitars, eerie electronic transmissions, and a guttural vocal gut punch. The vision arose intently from a place of purity both musically and lyrically for its creator.
The Browning is one of my favorite bands, and this is a super addition to their catalog. As always, the sound is grows and evolves with each new album, but it always remains super heavy and atmospheric. Been listening non-stop since I got it.
