Love the shorts but I ordered my standard size of 36w, and I was swimming in them. They weren't just a little loose; they would fall down to my ankles if I let go of them. I had to check I got the right size, sure enough they said 36.That said, I wear a belt with every pair of pants/shorts, so the extra size isn't a problem for me. I also recommend washing them first before use as they're a bit stiff coming out of the box.
