Product Description

End Of The Game (aka Il Giudice e il suo Boia) finally on vinyl for the first time. One of the most wanted and mysterious scores by the maestro Ennio Morricone. With the help of the magical voice of Edda Dell'Orso (Sul Ponte di Istambul) this score follows the steps of the most famous soundtrack composed by the maestro combining melancholic melodies with wild funky tunes, such as the brilliant "Shake del Giudice". End Of The Game (aka Il Giudice e il suo Boia, aka Assassinio sul Ponte, aka Der Richter und Sein Henker) was a 1975 cult noir movie starring the great John Voigt and Jacqueline Bisset. Color vinyl; edition of 500.

This is a gorgeous score for a underrated film. Its peak period Morricone (1975), with singing by Edda Dell'Orso. It will remind you of lot of scores from that period, including Fistful of Dynamite and some of his famous Giallo scores. The liner notes state that the international version of the film did not include all of this score, but music from other Morricone films was used. Curious! The main theme makes me think its what The Third Man would have sounded like if Morricone had scored it.I am not sure why it is not more widely available, but the company selling it is not doing themselves any favours with the terrible image they are using. Its a limited edition CD (mine is number 1108) -- whatever that means.
