Love the color (red), and it looks well-made. But the 2X - my usual size - is ridiculously ENORMOUS! I mean, the bottom width is 64"! I have to wonder if it was tagged incorrectly because it's more than just "oversized". Anyway, I'm returning for an X-Large. Wish me luck!After reading the reviews, I ordered this in size Large even though I currently wear a size 16. The fit is just perfect for me. It hangs away from my body with several inches in between me and the coat. Pockets are positioned right and the length covers down to upper thigh. I bought this for a trip to the west coast. Even though I've since cancelled the trip due to covid, I'm keeping this coat because it is perfect to layer under and it's less bulky than a wool coat when it's cold outside.I love the fabric and the construction of this lightweight jacket. It keeps out the wind and the rain when I take my dog to dog park every morning. I also like the large pockets --- perfect for carrying tennis balls, keys, phones, etc. Another thing I like is the ease with which it launders and comes out good as new. Finally, I like the front closure. It has a zipper and storm flap with snaps, not velcro. Velcro is the worst closure for a jacket because it gets gobbed up with fuzz and eventually the velcro doesn't hold the jacket closed. But this one has snaps so no worries. My one quibble is the velcro strips on the cuffs. I would have preferred a snap or two. I also would have preferred a detachable hood like the Squall jackets I've bought in the past. But otherwise, this is a great, sturdy jacket.I read many reviews for this coat as I have been looking for a good rain jacket. One of the reviews said something about the zipper being difficult. I wondered what that meant, well now I know! It is a bit irritating but I can deal with it. The length of the jacket is nice, especially when it is raining. The shoulders feel snug and the body is a bit bigger, but I can deal with that. Since this is a rain proof jacket, I thought the hood would have more coverage, but it does not. It does however cinch so that helps. This is more of a boxy fit jacket if that is what you are looking for:)I always know that anything we purchase from Lands End is going to be good quality and fit. This jacket was just what I was looking for. If it is raining and the temperature is in the 50s (or even 40s) up to the low 60s it will keep you warm but not hot. I also like the fact the sleeves aren't thermal lined. It is just a goodjacket that I am so pleased with.Didn't like the YELLOW lining!I have loved Land's End products for years, but being a larger size person, they have not always fir through my arms. I ordered this jacket and hoped for the best and I am happy beyond happy. It fits better than I could ever have hoped for. Thank you, Land's End.The body fit is nice and roomy. I can wear bulky items under it and it wouldn't be too tight. My only real complaint would be that the sleeves are too short. I always seem to have that problem. If I had tried this on before purchase I probably would have kept looking.
