when this jacket arrived it came in the lightest, thinnest package I've ever seen. looked like a pair of underwear could have been in there. I was extremely disappointed at how light this jacket was...BUT after I put it on and wore it outside I was pleasantly surprised. its lightness is a huge plus. if feels like wearing nothing at all but it does a great job at blocking wind and a great job at repelling water. I wear mine as an outer shell with a fleece inside as a liner for warmth and the combination is just terrific. its so good that I bought a second jacket and gave the first one I ordered to my son as he loved how light weight it felt and was easy to pack in his backpack as he likes to travel very light.this is just a great jacket. very adaptable to the situation and weather conditions.
