Once you listen listen to the first song,it just keeps on getting better and better!What I like is that this Don Henley CD has great songs and it it just a great CD to have and enjoy for having fun to listen to music on.Love a lot of the songs on this cd. Quality is good, Glad I ordered this collection. One of my favorite Don Henley albums.This disc sounds unbelievable. It's even better than I expected. I got it this afternoon, a day earlier than promised and have already listened to it three times. This album has been a favorite of mine since the first time I heard it. It's quite a bit different than his "Building The Perfect Beast" album, which is another all time favorite. This album is more serious. Henley seems to want us to understand his personal beliefs. If you're a fan of the Eagles and/or Don Henley start your search now. I hope you'll be able to find a copy. You won't be disappointed.I have to say something about the third party seller I bought this from. He was very friendly and very helpful. The experience with him was so much different than any I've ever experienced. There was a slight problem with the order. For some reason I got an email saying that my cancellation for the item had been approved. I was panicked because this was the last disc available. I quickly sent him an email telling him that I hadn't canceled the order. He sent me an email right back assuring me not to worry and that I would still get the disc. He's the seller everyone hopes they get, but very seldom do.This DTS disk is great. It did not play at first, but I figured out the problem. The audio out from my player had to be switched from HDMI to optical out, no big deal to change, now I have two options. The music has great separation thanks to the 5.1 output.I only buy CDs for music I like, so of course I like the music itself.I can't remember the last time I got a CD from Amazon that didn't have either the case busted or the teeth on the center wheel that hold the CD in place have broken and fallen out.I am reminded why I buy fewer CDs than ever from them. I'm guessing the package just gets literally 'dropped' at the base of the door?It is of course axiomatic that Henley was the drummer, lead singer and driving force behind the Eagles back in the day, and this effort is 25 yrs old as well but, these songs are truly timeless..............but these are pure Henley, he dosent pull any punches like the title song about his father`s death, and that haunting line " poisoned by these fairy tales while lawyers fool with small details since Daddy had to fly " will forever haunt me. This is the best piece of art I own, and I think it is the best all around album of all time by a solo artist, coincidently I think Hotel California is the best of all time by a group in this particular genre. I wore out all their 8-tracks, especially One of these nights, drove my car and partied many a mile rockin to these guys, I had the privilege to see these legends with Joe Walsh of course in 1976 at the Capital Centre in Landover,MD and needless to say they were flawless, no ad libs, just absolute perfection.....scary. When Walsh hit the intro for Victim of Love I still remember the chill that went straight through me. Great band, great songs, great musicians, great memories............Thanx Don.............RIP Glenn William H. CookThis album is awesome! Every song is great!Great album from the Eagles man - superbly crafted songs with excellent lyrics. The Grammy-nominated title track (written with Bruce Hornsby) is a gentle, but brilliant, ballad. Other outstanding songs are "New York Minute", "I Will Not Go Quietly" and "The Heart Of The Matter".That lovely voice the eagles frontman never sounded better than this.Best track for me is new york minute although made in 1989 this song could have an ode to all the people who sadly lost there lives after 9/11Another standout track is the last worhless evening a song about trying to find love again after a breakup and you are a certain age.the production and the musicianship on this album are flawlessthis music will live forever.Many years ago I owned this album, due to several house moves it went missing, whenever I heard a song from it I wished I still owned it, I just had a quick look on Amazon to see if it was available there was only one left I had to have it. The service was great I received it within two days, The end of the innocence now has pride and place in my car I can be found singing along to it most days. brilliant album.The single is very good and not crackly. It may not be every one,s cup of tea. But it has been played on Radio Caroline regularly. To me it is a great record.Super disc in excellent condition.
